About Jodie Deinhammer:
Jodie is a veteran educator in her 17th year of teaching Anatomy and Physiology at Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas. She is passionate about learning and truly believes in creating positive change in our educational system. Jodie loves technology and encourages and advocates for teachers to allow for student voice and choice in their classrooms.
Jodie runs her anatomy course through iTunes U and her global class currently has over 134,000 subscribers from all over the world. She is the Texas Region 10 Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2015.
About Tom Kilgore:
After a 20+ career post-military as a senior systems engineer, Tom Kilgore became a passionate 4th grade classroom teacher in North Texas and frequently describes his work as “the best job on the planet!” He previously taught 5th grade and strongly believes in a student-focused approach to education.
Tom implements a robust mixture of Maker Ed, STEM/STEAM emphasis, and genius hour initiatives into his curriculum. As the founder of the #TXEDUCHAT educational Twitter chat, he believes that educators should collaborate and share with one another to best serve all students. He is a former school board trustee vice president, scuba instructor, United States Marine, and has presented at conferences such as ISTE 2014 as well as being a keynote speaker at Lewisville ISD’s 2014 EdCamp.
