Innovation in the Classroom with Ronnie Cantu

Ronnie Cantu currently serves as a campus administrator in Plano Independent School District in Plano, Texas. His experience and passion in the field of STEM education and language acquisition for ELLs has greatly influenced him as a teacher, academic coach, presenter and leader in the district. Facilitated by Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA), the Texas Teacher of the Year Program recognized Ronnie for demonstrating outstanding leadership and excellence in teaching and was titled 2012 Texas Regional Teacher of the Year (Region 10).
Presenting at local, regional and international conferences, Ronnie received the TexTESOL Best of the Best Award for his presentation titled: STEM and Language Learning: It’s E-L-ementary. In addition, he had the honor of speaking at a LEGO Education International Conference where he promoted utilizing LEGO Robotics as an instructional medium for developing the literacy skills needed for the 21st century workforce. Ronnie strongly believes that being able to set the stage for our future makes teaching the most important profession in the world.
