Shelly Vohra is a passionate and dedicated educator with 15 years of classroom experience.

She has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels and with a focus on literacy, numeracy, science, and technology. Shelly is committed to teaching students to be agents of change through thoughtful and critical reflection by examining important issues through big ideas and essential open ended questions. She is an advocate for issues related to social justice and equity and encourages educators to embed these issues in their classroom practice. Shelly is currently an Instructional Coach for her school district; working collaboratively with classroom teachers to support student learning. She is also a Mathematics instructor for Brock University.
Shelly recently completed her PhD in Educational Technology, with a focus on social media in the classroom. She has presented at numerous conferences, written online courses for continuing education, and co-created #peelmathchat, #mathchatONT. Shelly is currently working on a book proposal on the topic of inquiry in the classroom with a social justice lens.
