Albert is currently the principal of McAllen High School in McAllen, Texas. He is working for a forward thinking district that believes strongly in the importance of students using and learning with technology effectively. His district has committed to being 1:1 and is in the process of placing an iPad in the hands of every student and teacher. Albert enjoys learning from others on social media, either through Twitter chats or by following educational leaders. He is currently serving as a committee member for iPadpalooza STX. His students affectionately call him the Twitter King!
Pedro Alvarez, Jr. is the Principal of McAllen Memorial High School in McAllen Texas. He has worked to improve low performing campuses exit out of school improvement status. At Rowe High School he worked with a team of administrators and teachers to help the campus exit out of AYP and as the Principal of Lincoln Middle School collaborated with teachers to exit School Improvement status. He continues to collaborate with educators to build a positive school culture for the improvement of student success. Mr. Alvarez is currently serving as a committee member for iPadpalooza South Texas. He is a part of a group of forward thinking administrator working toward improving technology in the classroom and building school culture.
